The Head of Musical Theater at Penn State, John Simpkins, joined us for a discussion on viewing wellness as a way of life, having perspective at any age and integrating mental wellness programs for college students.

 

About:
John Simpkins directed the three-time Drama Desk nominated Off-Broadway production of Bloodsong of Love: The Rock and Roll Spaghetti Western. He also directed The Black Suits at Center Theatre Group. In addition, Simpkins has been a part of several international and regional productions. Prior to joining Penn State, he was a member of the faculty at NYU – where he directed Sweet Smell of Success, Floyd Collins, A Man of No Importance, The Fix, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Violet, Urinetown, Merrily We Roll Along, Parade, Fiorello! and A New Brain.
